Dakota Ward
Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read about our staff. My name is Dakota Ward and I am the Programming Assistant this year. I have been attending Camp Whitewood since I was a little kid. Since then, I have worked my way up to the shooting sports instructor and held many other leadership roles. Camp has taught me so many valuable lessons that I have used in my life to succeed. I recently graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. Becoming a staff member has given me the opportunity to give back to the community that has taught me so much about the great outdoors. If I am not at camp, you can find me camping in a tent or fishing in a pond. Join me at camp for a fun filled educational experience that you will never forget.
Audrey Luli
Hello everyone! My name is Audrey. I graduated in 2015 from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. This will be my 7th summer working at camp and I couldn't be more happy to be returning this year. I have been the Day Camp Director for the past 5 years, but have also been the boating director and challenge course facilitator. Camp is one one of my most favorite places to be. I love being able to share all that camp has to offer with the campers. Whether we are on a hike, searching for crayfish and salamanders, or performing skits around the campfire there are sure to be priceless memories made along the way. When I am not at camp you can find me in my classroom teaching third graders, but still singing camp songs. Can't wait to see everyone and make this the best year yet!
Kalyn Ward
Hi guys. I'm Kalyn and this is my 7th summer at Camp Whitewood. I graduated from the University of Mount Union and it's my second year teaching second grade. It's been pretty awesome so far. I love being outdoors and going on adventures. I also love jamming out to any kind of music and usually call being DJ any chance I get. I like to sing and dance although really I should probably just stick to camp songs. My favorite is "Bumba." My favorite thing to do at camp is go boating mostly because I love the view of the lake. Can't wait to see ya all :
Emma Zimperman
Hey, all! It’s Emma here! I am from Geauga County, OH. This will be my fourth year working as a staff member, but my 11th year overall at 4-H Camp Whitewood. During camp this summer, I will be working as the Nature Specialist and as the Day Camp Lead. I am heading into my Senior year at the Cleveland Institute of Art where I major in Photography. I love to photograph animals, landscapes, and the natural world around me. I love everything about camp, especially the food! On that note, I cannot wait to meet all of you!
Martin "Marty"Pilík
Hi, I'm Martin, but friends usually just call me Marty. This will be my second year at Camp Whitewood and in the US. I'm from Czechia where I've been a counselor for 3 years at a camp right next to Vltava river. I play piano and mandolin, but at the camp I will be a guitar bard. I work as 3D artist in a small indie studio in Prague, so adventuring in nature is a great way to relax. I'm really looking forward to meeting you and having a great summer with you all!

My name is Ian and I'm very excited to be back at camp this summer. I can't wait to meet you all, and see what this summer will bring. I enjoy boating, backpacking, making music, and painting.
Eduardo Lafuente
Hello my name is Eduardo and I am from Spain. I'm 18 years old and I live in Zaragoza, Spain. This will be my 3rd year at 4-H Camp Whitewood and each summer I discover new people and experiences. I love football, listening to music and making others feel good when I'm with them. I hope that this year I can give the best of myself and be able to continue improving my English level.
Amanda Szinte
Hey everyone, I’m Amanda! I recently graduated from Ohio University where my major was Wildlife and Conservation Biology. I love spending time outside searching for wildlife of all kinds, but I especially love looking for amphibians and reptiles. At school, I spent a lot of time in streams studying the algae, plants and amphibians that live in them! I usually spend my free time in the woods hiking and camping or swimming at lakes and ponds. I can’t wait to spend my summer outside doing these things with you as well! This is going to be my first summer at Camp Whitewood and I’m looking forward to exploring the outdoors and having fun with everyone!
Emily Yasechko
Hi guys, I'm Emily! I currently go to The University of Akron, where I am double majoring in Public Relations, and Business Marketing. This will be my 9th summer at camp, but my first year as a Staff Member. I've grown up going to camp, and Im very excited to be spending another summer here! When I am not at camp, you can find me studying at the library, playing Ukelele, or cooking up a mean grilled cheese (not as good as camps though!) I also love being outdoors, and my favorite camp song is Baby Bumblebee. Looking forward to a fun summer, can't wait to meet you all!
