
Day Camp
Our Young Adventurers Day Camp offers children ages 6 to 11 the opportunity to experience the endless possibilities of Camp Whitewood without spending the night. Day campers will spend their days doing all sorts of exciting camp activities including swimming, boating, crafts, hiking, fishing, creek walking, archery, and so much more! Drop-off is at 8 am and pick up is at 3pm or 5 pm. Campers must pack their own lunch Monday-Thursday with Camp providing Lunch for all Day Campers on Friday. An afternoon snack is provided daily.
Overnights are optional and include dinner that evening and breakfast and lunch the following day.

Day Camp Information
Day Camp begins at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm each day.
If necessary, you may pick up your camper at 3:00.

Additional Day Camp Information
Day Camp Times
Day Camp begins at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm each day. To accommodate working parents, we also offer pickup at 3:00 each day.

Day Camp Overnights
For day campers who'd like to give overnight camping a try, our Thursday overnights are perfect! Overnight day campers will stay after regular day camp hours, enjoying more fun camp activities, a family-style dinner and end the night with a movie and fresh popped popcorn! The group will settle in at the Day Camp building (co-ed) on mattresses to rest up for another eventful day and will then join the day camp activities as usual after breakfast the next morning and lunch on Friday.

Day Camp will be held in our NEWLY RENOVATED Day Camp Building, across the street from main camp!

Day Camp Fees
Day Camp (8am to 5pm): $220 per child per week.
Overnight: $50 per child (Fee covers dinner and snack on the night of the overnight as well as breakfast and lunch the next day)

Day Camp Staff
Our Day Camp staff to camper ratio is 1:8. Our staff are a group of energetic, kid-friendly individuals who provide a fun, structured, safe and nurturing environment to all of our Day Campers. Day Camp staff including our Day Camp Director and Day Camp Leaders, undergo annual training in first aid, behavior management, waterfront safety and specialize in making each day positive and memorable for our campers.
Camp Store
Every Thursday, Day Campers will have to opportunity to visit the Camp Canteen to purchase keepsakes, snacks, a camp t-shirt, sweatshirt, and lots of other fun treasures! Prices range from $1 to $40 per item (check out the Camp Canteen for ideas.)
What to Bring to Day Camp
Day Campers should arrive dressed in play clothes. Tennis shoes must be worn daily (sorry no sandals or flip-flops) and each Day Camper should bring a one-piece bathing suit, sunscreen, bug spray, beach towel, water bottle and a lunch and drink.

We encourage parents to communicate with Day Camp Staff and Camp Whitewood management when concerns arise. We take our responsibility seriously and appreciate the opportunity to make your child's day camp experience a positive one.
